The Flight Club is Golf Athletics’ community-driven social competition! It’s all about fun, friendly rivalry, and getting involved—whether by playing, spectating, or cheering. Members compete in teams through in-house games, online challenges, and on-course events. We give each team points for players that achieve certain tasks.
This could be as competitive as winning games or as simple as having the best celebration routine!
We’re here to hang out, have fun and enjoy meeting new people… and get better at golf at the same time.

Anyone! Whether you’re a current member, a past member, or completely new to Golf Athletics, you’re welcome to join.

Not at all! The Flight Club is for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned players. We have different game formats that cater to all skill levels.

1️⃣ Friday Night Flights (FNF) – Fun, fast-paced team games at Golf Athletics, held every three weeks.
2️⃣ Online Challenges – Participate remotely by submitting your best shots, trick shots, or skill-based tasks.
3️⃣ Playing Days – Group games at local courses with different formats like Stableford, Scramble, and Stroke Play. -
All participants must register for The Flight Club via our online form. Once registered, you’ll be assigned to one of our four teams, each led by dedicated captains.

We encourage you to stay with your assigned team for the season to keep the competition fair and fun. However, if there’s a special request, chat with us!

Nope! You can participate as much or as little as you want. Even spectating and cheering your team on helps!

FREE for all Golf Athletics members! If you have an active membership, you can participate in any Flight Club event at no extra charge.
Playing Day (On-Course) will incur additional Green Fees and Competition Fees. -
Yes! Sign up for Pay-Per-Use membership and you can attend these events.
Pay-Per-Use members simply need to check in whenever they attend an event. -

Yes! Points are earned throughout the year, and at our Annual Flight Club Event, we’ll tally scores and crown the winning team! Plus, we’ll have some fun spot prizes along the way.

TITLEIST BALL FITTING
A golf ball fitting helps golfers choose the right golf ball for their swing and playing style, potentially improving distance, spin, and overall performance
Here's why a ball fitting is beneficial:

Different golf balls have varying characteristics, such as compression, spin, and aerodynamics. A fitting helps match these characteristics to your swing, potentially increasing distance, improving control, and enhancing feel.

By finding the right ball for your game, you can maximize your potential and potentially lower your scores.

A fitting can help you identify a ball that feels good in your hands, especially around the greens.

Saturday Arvo Winter Warmer at Golf Athletics
Beat the winter blues and join us for a special Saturday afternoon of good vibes, great company, and a sizzling BBQ!
We’re firing up the grill and organising fun games and challenges for everyone to enjoy. Expect laughter, a bit of friendly competition, and even a few prizes for our game winners.
Games will be announced on our WhatsApp chat group closer to time.

Playing Day | Eagle Ridge
Golf Athletics Playing Days Event
Sunday July 13, 2025
12pm Tee Off
Join us for an exciting day on the course at Eagle Ridge Golf Course for our next Playing Days event in July!
Whether you're a member or a non-member, this event is open to all skill levels and promises a fun-filled experience, however, please keep in mind that Eagle ridge is a fun but challenging golf course.
Event Details
Date: Sunday July 13, 2025
Time: 2 Tee Start, 1st hole (4 flights) and 10th Hole (2 flights), starting from 12pm.
Duration: Approx. 4 to 5 hours
Players: 24 playing spots available, suitable to players to players with some golf experience.
Cost: $90 for members, $110 for non-members - includes carts (we must have carts, to keep our speed up)
Gameplay: Stableford (Only if you want to. We’ll have some prizes to give away to the winner for the day. A valid GA Handicap is required, otherwise we’ll allocate you one for the day)
Additional Highlights:
Warm Up Spots: Eagle Ridge has warm up nets, chipping and putting areas only.
Team Points: If you've registered for a team in our Flight Club, you can earn valuable points for your team throughout the event!
Post-Event Dinner: Seeing as we're out on the Peninsula, we can organise a few tables at a local restaurant on the way back. Exact details to be confirmed.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLIGHTS

Gladiator!
This FNF is a throw back to simpler times. We’re looking to bring out the competitor in this one. We’re going to amp up the pressure, but have some fun with it. You must register for this event and its going to be good.
Turn up in your Gladiator outfits if you want, but only bring your putter and wedges! We don’t need your full bag here. We’re going to recreate the Colosseum and from an arena around the putting area, then a gallery in the chipping area. Our Masters of Ceremony for the night will pick team(s) to play against each other, whilst everyone cheers and watches. Points are for winning teams on putting and chipping games as directed by the MC.
Point will be awarded to those who dress up.

Cost: $55 Competition Fee & Green Fee, $10 for competition fee if you are already a member there (please let us know). $65 For Non-Members

Alter-nate Shot Playoff.
We will play alternate shots on a hole in pairs. We’ll create a bracket for each team to compete, 15 mins per game, 8 games in 2 hours, 16 players in total.
We’ll play the next Major course coming, Quail Hollow.
Everyone plays off the stick, but we’ll give out additional points to teams that have newer players.
In an event of a tie, we’ll got to a putt off.
Alley Oop
On the putting green, we’ll continue our Alley Oop Challenge.
Video evidence needs to be provided, for the Alley Oop to count.

FRIDAY NIGHT FLIGHTS
Register and book your spot online and come down to meet new people, play and have some fun. All participants must register.
Our first game is:
One’s!
You play 1 hole, match play (with handicap taken into account, if there is a 10 stroke gap, you must give the other player a stroke). Winner stay on.
If the hole is squared, the winner stays on.
For every winning streak of 3 games will give your team a point.
If a player doesn’t have a handicap, a team captain will assess and give you one (we’ll estimate one on the night to keep the games fair).
Points gathered are arbitrary, so whilst we are competitive, don’t take it too seriously.
Best spectator on the night gets a point for their team.
Our captains will be onsite to help facilitate the games.
Cost: Free
*Please be aware that non-members:
- must not occupy or use the space other than that intended for Flight Club. We will have booked ample of facility for the evening.
- exit the facility at the conclusion of the event, as we are 24/7 facility and will be unstaffed after the event closes.
23’ Spring League
23’ Spring League ( 5 September 2023 - 3 November 2023, 9 Week Qualifying Rounds) - Finals on 12th NOVEMBER
Autumn/Winter was amazing. We had over 25 players competing in Division A and Division B, with our winners walking away with Titleist Stand Bags, credit into their Golf Athletics accounts as well as free entry into our Playing Days event and Spring League.
Join in now to try take the honours and put your name on our Div A & Div B cup for our 23’ Spring League. It’s going to be our largest, most competitive and fun league!
How it works?
Weekly games played on the a Tuesday or Friday evening from 6pm - 9.30pm, 6 sessions per night (4 players per session, bookings essential)
Minimum of 6 games played our of 9 total games to qualify for the Division A and Division B Finals on the Sun, 12th November (12PM - 5PM).
You can play one game that is self assessed.
We play 9 holes during qualifying the weeks, you book into a session via our access app with other players and we record your weekly score.
We take your handicap into our account to put you into your most competitive league, however your performance over your qualifying rounds will also play a factor as to what handicap you play on in the finals.
